Academic Curriculum Advanced Learning Systems Examinations

 
The School is in process of getting affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. The School is running classes from Nursery to VIIIth Class and shortly expects to start running classes upto Xth class. It follows the syllabus and curriculum of ICSE.

The School has already been granted affiliation by the University of Cambridge vide no. IN227 for GCE AS & A Level and ICGSE (O Level).

The School has inbuilt in its curriculum the Young Learners English Programme of the University of Cambridge to train students for relevant and meaningful use of English language in an international / multicultural context to be a truly Global Citizen.

ADVANCED LEARNING SYSTEMS

Computers
Computer literacy is an important part of the School curriculum from the initial level. The School has Computer Labs equipped with the most advanced Computers with Internet access.

Laboratories
School has fully equipped and suitably designed laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Science Classes will be held in the laboratories to create the proper scientific ambience.

Library
Library is large, well-stocked with latest encyclopaedias, reference books, classical literature and other books of special interest to the children of various age groups, covering wide range in Science, Arts and Humanities, English, Bengali and in Hindi. To encourage the habit of reading amongst the young boys and girls, books will be loaned out on weekly basis.

There will also be a separate Reading Room where the latest newspapers and magazines will be available.

Online library connecting to the best libraries in the world will be facilitated to the students in further years to help them in grasping vast knowledge spread all over and research.

 

EXAMINATIONS

The Schools will follow a system of continuous and comprehensive assessments throughout the year. Assessments will be both formal and informal. Up to Standard V the Schools will follow the grading system on the basis of performance in class works and class assessments.

From Class VI onwards the Final Assessment will be on the basis of unit tests and terminal examinations. The academic year will be divided in 2 terms at the end of which Terminal Exams will be conducted. During each term unit tests will be held for regular assessment which will help the students to study the course in small quantum and thoroughly.

Assessment reports will be distributed to students at the end of each term. Also regular reports of performance will be given. Parents-teachers meetings will be held at the end of each term.
